What's in the Vooks App: Playlists, Profiles, Favorites, and Every Feature Families Ask About
The Vooks app is organized around three formats, Watch, Listen, and Read: animated storybooks, the audiobook library, and ebooks, all in one subscription. Around those formats sits a set of features that answer most of the practical "can it do X?" questions families and teachers ask. This page is the reference.
Playlists
Playlists let you build your own storytime collections: named sets of stories organized around a theme, a routine, or a moment. A bedtime playlist runs the same wind-down sequence every night. A classroom playlist queues the week's read-alouds in order, which also makes it a natural sub-plan tool: the substitute plays the list top to bottom. For kids who rely on routine, a playlist keeps the regulation sequence identical every time (predictable by design).
Profiles
Each child on an account gets their own profile with their own avatar, their own library, and their own Learning Dashboard. Siblings do not share a reading history: the kindergartner's favorites, stats, and recommendations stay separate from her older brother's. In classrooms, profiles keep shared devices sorted.
Favorites
The heart icon saves any title to My Favorites, kept separately from playlists and split by format: Video, Audio, and Books tabs. Favorites is the fast path back to the stories a child asks for by name.
My Library
Saved and downloaded content lives in My Library, organized in Video, Audio, Books, and Downloads tabs, matching the app's three formats plus offline content.
Offline downloads

Casting and the big screen

Audio features
The Audio Library supports offline download of any audiobook or music track, adjustable playback speed, an autoplay toggle, audio favorites, and a sleep timer that ends playback after the child drifts off.
Creation tools
A Vooks subscription also includes two creation surfaces: Vooks Creator, the story-making app where kids write, draw, and narrate their own books, and Storyteller, which lets anyone record their own narration of a Vooks story and share it.
