Pause & Ponder activities drive post-viewing discussion for comprehension and critical thinking. For a substitute, this is the difference between screen time and a lesson: the discussion questions are written down, so any adult can run a real conversation about the story without knowing the curriculum. Play the story on the classroom screen (casting works on TVs, projectors, and smartboards), then run the questions.
